摘  要

伴随着中国经济和文化的迅猛发展，“中国崛起”开始为世人瞩目。中国不仅在国际大舞台上政治经济地位有了提高，而且还发展成为了体育大国。越来越多的人开始关注国外体育新闻，因此体育新闻的汉译变得尤为重要。做好体育新闻英语汉译,能使我们更好地了解国外的体育信息和文化；人们将会对国外的体育文化有更深入的了解，同时还能及时获取有关新闻的第一手资料。本文将从功能派目的论的角度对英语体育类新闻标题汉译的策略进行研究。本文会从电视网络杂志以及相关文献中找到的新闻标题进行详细的对比分析，试图总结出不同的翻译策略在体育类新闻标题翻译中不同的应用和效果。本研究希望能够达到促进体育英语新闻标题翻译的理论与实践的发展的目的，并为将来有着共同兴趣的翻译工作者、教师和学生的实践提供借鉴。

Abstract

With the rapid development of China’s economy and culture, China’s sharply rise is attracting the attention of the whole world. China has not only enhanced its political and economic status on the international stage but also developed into a sports power. Nowadays, more and more people have started to keep an eye on sports news at home and abroad. Hence, it has become more and more important for the translation of international sports news. Readers will make it better to acquaint foreign sports information and culture if the work of translation of English sports news is done well. Meanwhile, readers will deepen the understanding of foreign sports culture, enrich sports and cultural knowledge and grasp the first-hand information quite timely by the study of translation of English sports news reports. This paper will study translation strategies of English sports news headlines on the basis of Skopos theory with an attempt to analyze the applications and effects of different translation strategies on the translation of English sports news headlines. Meanwhile, this paper will collect the English sports news headlines from the television network, magazines and some related literature. This paper hopes to promote the practice of translation of English sports news headlines and provide the reference and guidance for the practice of translators, teachers and students.
