摘  要

新闻是现今社会生活的重要组成部分，也是人们了解这个世界的重要途径之一，而英语时政新闻在中英跨文化交流中所起的作用也是举足轻重的。在改革开放的今天，中国正在走向国际，进行英语时政新闻汉译研究是为了让国内的民众了解国外的情况，增加对国际情形的了解，促进中西方文化交流。但是，因为中西方背景、语言和文化的不同以及时政新闻其独特特点，所以英语时政新闻的汉译就存在很大的困难，许多读者难以理解某些译文，甚至理解错误或者失去阅读的兴趣。目前我国在英语时政新闻的汉译方面的研究还存在各种问题。本文从目的论的基本理论入手，简要阐述在目的论指导下英语时政新闻的翻译策略，并就英语时政新闻中的词汇和句子的翻译进行探究。

Abstract

As one of the most important parts of modern society, news becomes one of the most significant approaches for people to know the world much better and English political news plays a momentous role in the cross-cultural communication between China and western countries. In today’s reform and opening up, China has gradually joined the global community. Studying the English-Chinese political news aims at providing information of western countries for domestic people, and improving their understanding of international situation and promoting cultural exchange and communication between China and western countries. However, there are many problems in translating English political news into Chinese on account of the huge differences of background, language and culture between China and western countries and the unique characteristics of political news. Therefore, some readers may hardly understand some translated texts and misunderstand it or even lose their interest of reading. At present, there exist various issues in English-Chinese political news translation. This thesis starts with the basic principles of Skopos Theory and briefly states some translation methods of English political news from the perspective of Skopos Theory and makes a tentative study of the translation of vocabularies and sentences’ structure in English political news.
