1 Introduction
In spite of the fact that Hong Kong and Taiwan are both parts of China, there exist great distinctions on translating among Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong and Taiwan due to the historical, geographical, cultural reasons as well as dialect reasons. The distinctive difference is the translation of names of foreign persons and places, which exerts negative effects on people’s lives, cultural communications and economic development (Bao Shixiu, 1998: 54-56). So the thesis comprehensively compares the differences of translated terms between the three regions from various aspects and accordingly analyzes the causes of these differences, which is of great significance for the communicating and understanding among people all over China.
