摘　 要

教育是一个国家发展的根本动力之一，我们需要科学教育，要以学生为中心，激发主动性和创新精神。我选择这个课题有三个原因。一，我认为教育在一个国家里有很重要的角色。二，前段时间浙江温岭一个老师虐待儿童，这给我深深的感触，所以我想研究一些教育的东西。三，我想成为一个小学老师，这会对我未来的工作有很大帮助。论文分为四个部分，第一部分呈现的事教育的重要性，教育决定人民素养的高低，更决定国家竞争力的强弱。第二部分介绍了中美小学教育差异的原因：不同的历史背景、经济形式、社会现状以及传统文化。第三部分介绍了不同制度下中美两国小学教育的教学理念、办学特色、师生关系、实践教学环节的差异及对教学评价方式等方面的差异。第四部分在自己仔细的思考跟阅读下的总结。通过对中国和美国的比较分析，一方面能让教师从中吸取经验更好地育人和教学，另一方面能真正地让小孩子从德、智、体、美各方面得到全面发展。

Abstract

Education is one of the fundamental driving forces of a country's development, we need the teaching of science, which should be centered by students, inspire the students’ initiative and the spirit of innovation. I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons. Firstly, I think education is an important role in a country. Secondly, a few days ago, a teacher in Wenlin Zhejiang abused the children, it has deep impact on me, and so I want to write something about education. Thirdly, I want to be a primary teacher, it can be benefit to my future work. And I divide my paper into four parts. Part one presents that education is an important role in a country. It determines the level of literacy of the people and even decides the strength of national competitiveness. Part two introduces the difference historical background, difference economic form, difference social conditions and difference traditional culture. Part three introduces the teaching theory, feature of running school, relationship between teachers and students, practicing teaching methods of assessment under the different system between China and America. Part four draws some conclusions by my careful reading and thinking. On one hand, it can help teachers absorb the experience and teach better. On the other hand, it can improve more abilities of the children from obtaining the full scale development of moral, intelligence, physical and aesthetic.

1 Introduction
With the development of economy and politics, a number of people in China and America pay a close attention to the primary education and the growth of new generation. US as the world economics and the technical top-quality powerful nation, its education developed degree is obvious to all over the world, China and America have a very big difference in the social system, the educational system and the cultural tradition, the aspect of education also similarly, too. But the primary education is the beginning of basic education, which is the stage of rising and training and developing people’s talent. At present most of the searchers conduct the research on the teaching method, student schoolwork burden and extracurricular activity, but this paper will make a comparison on teaching idea, school characteristic and teacher and student relationships. It will have a benefit on the primary education and my future work.
