摘 要
学习语法被广大的学生们视为是一件越来越重要的事,尤其是中学生,因为语法成绩的好坏影响学生的中高考成绩。大多数中学学校都赞同英语老师采取传统的教学方式,即老师一味地脱离语境讲解语法,学生一味地背诵语法,练习语法。其结果是很多学生发现学语法又困难又枯燥,从而失去了学语法的兴趣。毋庸置疑,英语的语境语法教学就是妥善解决上述问题的一种可行的、有效的方案。语境语法教学使学生正确地、有意义地、妥当地使用语法结构。基于前人对语境语法教学的研究,本文将继续深入讨论,从语境语法教学的历史研究发展、理论基础、原因和它的功能进行探讨,并根据分析结果,探索语境语法教学的实际使用方法和技巧,来提高语境语法教学的质量。

Abstract
Learning grammar is something that is considered more and more important by a large number of students, especially for middle school students since the result of grammar test has an influence on the scores of students’ senior high school and college entrance examinations. English teachers use the traditional method to teach students grammar in most Chinese middle schools. The traditional method, on the other words, that is teachers blindly explain grammar in decontextualized manner, and students blindly recite the grammar rules and practice how to use them. As a result, many students find learning grammar is a difficult thing, and also it is very boring. It brings a bad consequence that students lose interest in learning grammar. There is no doubt that the method of teaching grammar in context is a feasible, efficient approach that can deal with those problems listed above appropriately. Teaching grammar in context enables students to use grammatical structures accurately, meaningfully and appropriately. Led by the previous studies of teaching grammar in context in middle schools, this paper will continue with the discussion about this method from the perspectives of the development of historical research, theoretical basis, the reasons, and its functions. Then based on the results, the approaches and techniques to apply context theory to English grammar teaching in real classroom are proposed in order to explore the good ways to improve the quality of using this method.

1 Introduction
This paper will study the method of teaching grammar in context. As the author knows, this method is a useful method for it will help teachers teach grammar more efficiently and help students learn grammar more easily, interestingly and quickly. The advantages of this method can be obviously seen when comparing it with the traditional method in which teachers only explain the grammar in decontextualized manner and students are asked to try their best to remember those boring grammatical rules, but the learning effect is not so optimistic as students can’t learn grammar well without their true understanding of it, so their grammatical knowledge can’t last long. But as the author notice there are still many teachers using the traditional method to teach students grammar, and they feel very confused in grammar teaching. There are some other teachers: although they want to apply the method of teaching grammar in context in the real classroom, they just feel it is very difficult to use it successfully. For those reasons, the author feels that studying this method is very significant.
