摘  要

皮亚杰认知发展理论被公认为20世纪发展心理学上最权威的理论。皮亚杰采用对于个别儿童(他自己的女儿)在自然的情境下连续、细密的观察纪录他们对事物处理的智能反应。这种研究方式,广为现时儿童心理学家所采用。皮亚杰认为:儿童的认知发展经历从感知运动、前运算、具体运算到形式运算四个主要阶段 ,不同阶段各有其认知发展方面的主要特点, 所有儿童的认知发展都是按照这样的发展顺序发展起来的。本文通过分析皮亚杰认知理论,更好地了解儿童的生理和心理的变化,明白儿童各阶段不同的发展特征,根据不同的阶段,建议采用不同的教育方法,以此提高教育的效率。教育工作者不应该采取填鸭式的教育模式,认为教的越多,学的越多,应该了解不同年龄阶段特征采用不同的教育方法,时时改变调整教育教学方式。

Abstract

Piaget’s cognitive development theory is recognized as the most authoritative theory in the field of the development psychology in the 20th century. He set an individual children (his daughter) as the subject in the natural situation, then observed their intelligent reaction to the problems continuously. This kind of research method has been widely used by psychologists. Piaget thinks that children's cognitive development experience have four main stages, including perception of motion, motion perceived before operation, concrete operation, and formal operation, each stage having its features about cognitive development. All the main characteristics of children's cognitive development are according to the development of this order of stages. This article analyses the application of the Piaget's Theory of Cognitive Development in primary school English teaching to help primary teachers have a better understanding of children's physiological and psychological changes, and different characteristics in different stages so that different stages uses different methods to improve the efficiency of education. Education workers should not take cramming education mode that the more they teach, the more students get. Teachers need to know the characteristics of different ages, and constantly adjust the education teaching ways to make students learn better.

1 Introduction
   With the development of society, people's demands of education are increasing. People hope that teachers can use the most effective method to make their children easy to acquire knowledge. This requires teachers to improve their theoretical knowledge level. There are a lot of teaching theories in the field of education, so Piaget's theory of cognitive development is one of the important theories. This essay is used to study this important theory and solve some of problems in primary English teaching.
