摘 要
词汇学习贯穿于第二语言学习的全过程,是语言活动的基础。词汇作为学好英语的关键,学好的前提是掌握有效的英语词汇学习策略。学习策略能帮助学生调整的学习过程和改善学习的方法,增强学习自信心,进而提高教学质量。目前初中生在学习词汇过程中,存在着缺乏元认知意识、认知策略使用单一刻板、较少运用情感策略的问题。因此如何通过学习策略来习得英语词汇,提高词汇学习的效率就显得尤为迫切。本文分析了目前初中生在英语词汇学习中的问题,介绍了元认知策略、认知策略和情感策略等几种词汇学习策略,提出了培养学生词汇学习策略的具体方法,例如制定计划、加强自我评价、猜测、记笔记、重复记忆、有效使用字典以及加强使用情感策略等。

Abstract
Vocabulary learning is the foundation of language activities throughout the whole process of learning a second language. Vocabulary is the key of English learning. The precondition to learn it well is to master effective English vocabulary learning strategies. Learning strategies can not only helps students modify their learning procedure but also contributes to perfect their methods of vocabulary learning as well as promotes confidence and self-learning abilities. Teaching students how to learn and master effective learning strategies has been regarded as effective methods to ease their burden and it can greatly enhance teaching quality. Nowadays, the problems that junior middle school students have in the course of learning vocabulary largely result from lack of meta-cognitive awareness, monotonous and rigid use of cognitive strategies as well as low frequency of using social/affective strategies. Thus learning English vocabulary by use of learning strategies and to improve the efficiency of vocabulary learning has become particularly urgent. This thesis analyzes the current problems of junior middle school students in learning English vocabulary and introduces some vocabulary learning strategies such as meta-cognitive strategies, cognitive strategies and social/affective strategies. According to the results of the study, this paper puts forward effective vocabulary learning strategies: making plans, strengthening self-evaluation, guessing, taking note, memorizing, using dictionary effectively and applying social strategies and so on.

1 Introduction
It is apparent to all that vocabulary teaching in English language teaching has an essential position. The formation of language skills is based on the vocabulary’s accumulation and use. Vocabulary is often considered to be an important criterion to measure whether language learners have strong foundation or not.
