摘   要

在初中英语学习中,阅读至关重要。英语阅读能力的提高是一个漫长的过程,选择阅读策略并加以培养是关键。初中生英语阅读水平不高是由于词汇量小、阅读主动性差、背景知识缺乏和课外阅读量小等原因造成的。针对这些问题,本文提出的相关培养阅读策略的方法能帮助初中学生更好地进行阅读,对初中英语教育有一定的理论性的帮助。这些阅读策略包括抓文章中心句、预测词义、学习文化背景知识、培养逻辑推理能力、扩大学生视野与培养阅读能力、培养学生良好的阅读习惯和阅读兴趣以及突破词汇障碍。这些策略方法能帮助初中学生更好地进行阅读,对初中英语教育有一定的理论性的帮助。同时,运用阅读策略能使学生学习事半功倍。

Abstract

In middle school English teaching, reading is especially important. Reading is the main approach for language acquisition and achievements of knowledge. Improving junior students’ reading is not only an essential measure of understanding and culture absorption, but also the speediest input source of culture and linguistic features. Students have poor reading abilities because of poor vocabulary, poor reading initiation, lacking of background information, small quantity of extracurricular reading and so on. To deal with these problems, this paper puts forward some solutions. These strategies include seizing the topic sentence of an article, speculating the word meaning, learning culture background, cultivating logical reasoning ability, enlarging students’ vision, cultivating reading abilities, cultivating students’ good reading habits and interest as well as breaking through vocabulary barrier. These reading strategies can help students do better reading. And they have theoretical meaning to middle school English teaching. In large extent, the reading ability determines the success of English learning. In practical teaching, both students and teachers should find the real problems that exit in English reading and then tackle them with corresponding strategies. In English learning, students with good reading strategies always get twice the result with half the effort.
