摘 要

随着我国与世界交流的日益增强,英语交际的功能已成为英语教学的首要目的。众所周知,中学阶段是学生们学习英语的关键时期。因此,在中学英语教学中,尤其要大力倡导交际法来提高学生们的交际能力。但是传统教学法只重视传授知识,导致中学生们被动地学习。交际法则重视培养学生运用语言进行交际的能力,引导学生在交际中学习语言,运用语言。随着我国英语教学环境的改善,交际法将在更大的程度上进入中学英语教学的课堂,得到更加广泛的应用和发展。本作者阅读比较相关文献后,分析了中学英语的传统教学模式,论述了交际法教学的实质及作用,从而提出了如何开展中学英语交际法教学及其实施中可能存在的不足和建议,对提高教学效果,更好地运用交际法教学有一定的指导意义。

Abstract

With the increasing exchange between the world and our country, the communicative function in English teaching has become the primary goal. As we all know, it is the key period for students to learn English in middle school. Therefore, Communicative Approach should be strongly advocated with the aiming to improve students' verbal ability in the English teaching of middle school. However, the traditional teaching methods only pay attention to impart knowledge of the language, so students learn passively. Communicative Approach focuses on training students' communicative ability to use language, to guide students to learn the language in communication and use of language. With the improvement of our country’s English teaching environment, Communicative Approach will be used widely in the middle school English classroom teaching, get more extensive application and development. After reading and comparing relative document literature, the author analyzes the traditional English Teaching model of middle school and makes a brief introduction of the essence and function of Communicative Approach. Then, the author discusses about how to apply Communicative Approach in English Teaching to middle school and points out some limitations of the communicative approach in the process of application as well as comes up with several suggestions. All these are better for improving the teaching effect and have certain positive function for communicative language teaching.

1 Introduction
   This paper mainly studies about the application of Communicative Approach to English Teaching of middle school, in order to come up with some practical advices for teachers in their teaching. With the development and progress of the world, English is used more and more widely. The communicative function in English teaching has become the primary goal, especially in the middle school. As we all know, a good beginning is half done. Students mainly learn the basic knowledge of English in middle school. It is important for students to master solid basics for their future English learning. Interest is the best teacher, so we need to do a lot to help students to develop language interests. However, in the last decades, Classroom English teaching was the main way for our students to learn English and get the system knowledge in middle school. We have indeed made great achievements by applying the Traditional model of English teaching methods.
