摘　要

英文歌曲在教学中的应用已经普遍运用于小学英语教学中，可以使小学生增进情感的体验，成为许多学生和教师的喜爱。因为在课堂中播放英文歌曲可以激发学生英语学习的兴趣和动机，把学生的注意力再次集中在学习上，提高学生的听力和口语能力，增加词汇量和熏陶外国语言文化。这篇论文是根据小学的现状，着重阐述了小学英语歌曲的设计与应用，旨在帮助小学英语教育者更好地运用和发挥英语歌曲的作用，达到更好的教学效果。所以英文歌曲在英语教学中已经变得越来越普及了，不但可以在传统的英语教学中输入新鲜的血液，而且能提高课堂效率，所以深受老师和学生的欢迎。兴趣是最好的老师。在这种方法下能够帮助他们扩充词汇，标准发音和提高口语听力。

Abstract

English songs have ever been very popular in English teaching. English songs have the cultural effects and artistic charm, so teachers will use them in English teaching at primary school. It can not only make children learn in the atmosphere of beautiful melody, but also can enrich the emotional experience and let them feel the charm of art. It breaks the traditional teaching mode, which has become a favorite tool for many teachers. Using English songs not only stimulates students' interest, but also has magic power to let them focus on the classes. More importantly, they can enlarge the primary students’ vocabulary and provide more exposure of culture background by learning the lyrics. So using English songs in English teaching in primary school is a process of teaching creation. This paper is based on the present situation of the English teaching at primary school, and we will focus on the choices and applications of primary school English songs in order to help teachers use English songs better. So English songs have become more and more popular in English teaching, they not only change the traditional English teaching mode but also improve the efficiency of the classes. Everyone knows interest is the best teacher, so teachers can cultivate students’ interest in English learning by singing English songs. In this way children can make greater progress in the areas of vocabulary, pronunciation, listening and speaking.

1 Introduction
Nowadays many children feel helpless in learning English, especially some poor students. How English songs can make our English improved? In my opinion, English songs are a way to help the primary school students learning English. Most children enjoy singing. So many teachers like using English songs in English class. So English songs have became more and more popular in English teaching, they not only put fresh blood into the traditional teaching mode but also improve the efficiency of the class, so they have been welcomed by students and teachers.
