Abstract

With the education reform deepened in China, the quality education has been further strengthened, and people attach more importance to autonomous learning. The paper focuses on the factors influencing autonomous learning and the detailed analysis of the factors, emphasizes the importance of autonomy in English learning, and explores the significant role of autonomous learning in English. Meanwhile, with detailed discussion and analysis，some suggestions for strengthening autonomous learning are listed, which are hopefully helpful and beneficial to English learners in improving efficiency and realizing self-value.

摘 要

随着我国教育改革的深入开展，素质教育得到进一步深化，而自主性学习也越加受到重视。本文主要通过对影响自主性学习原因的详尽分析，探讨了其对英语学习的影响, 强调了自主性在英语学习中的重要性。同时也提出了强化自主性学习的一些建议，对英语学习者有些许借鉴和帮助作用, 有利于提高英语学习的效率和实现自我价值。

1.    Introduction
To start with，learning autonomy is the capacity for independent thinking, critical reflection, and decision-making. What’s more, Candy defines that learner autonomy is a perennial dynamic process amenable to educational interventions Henry Heloc regards that autonomous learning refers to the fact that everyone should take responsibility for his own learning. Nevertheless, it is incisive. Not everyone has the ability to learn by himself, that’s why learners need teachers. Here, the meaning of autonomous learning is that to learn mainly depends on oneself. Then another researcher whose name is Sheerin concludes that autonomous learning is the method to promote learners’ independent ability. Definitely, learning autonomy is a kind of strategy applied in learning. With this concept，learners have the motivation to learn independently. However, it’s incomplete. Autonomous learning doesn’t only promote learners’ ability of learning independently, but also many other advantages. The last one is Dickinson , he defines that autonomous learning is an ability as well as an attitude. This is a concise definition without detailed information.
