Abstract:
As an inevitable result of language acquisition, language attrition is a process in which language ability is gradually weakened and lost. Being a part of language, as well as language acquisition, language attrition can not be ignored. With the continuous development of English teaching, it seems necessary to study the attrition of English in Chinese context and recently there are many studies on factors affecting language attrition of college students. This thesis will analyze the enlightenment of language attrition on college students’ English acquisition from the language attrition theory, and explores an anti-attrition mode for college students’ English acquisition.

摘要:
语言磨蚀作为语言习得的必然结果,是一种语言能力的逐渐减弱和丢失现象,与语言习得共同作为语言两方面,且不可忽视,随着我国英语教学的不断发展,汉语语境下的英语磨蚀研究就显得非常必要,国内对外语磨蚀的影响因素的研究也很多。本文将从语言磨蚀理论出发,分析语言磨蚀对大学生英语习得的启示,探求大学生耐磨蚀的英语习得方式。

1. Introduction
Language attrition, the reverse process of language acquisition, means a phenomenon that bilingual or multilingual language users, due to reduction or stop of their use of the language over time , gradually diminished the language capability.
According to the viewpoint of psycholinguistics, language learning is a dynamic development process, including not only the side of learning and gaining, but also the side of loss and attrition. Thus, where there is language acquisition, there is language attrition. The two are interdependent and inseparable. The language learning can not neglect anyone, otherwise we can not see the full picture of language learning. However, domestic English learning has long presented "one-sided" state, focusing more on language acquisition than language attrition. Therefore, it has great theoretical and practical significance to conduct the research of language attrition in our country. On one side, we can enrich and improve the existed theories, on the other side, we can enlighten college students’ English learning from a new perspective.
