Abstract:
Language attrition refers to the loss of language skills by those who have learned and then disrupted the use of a foreign language and it is a very common phenomenon among language learners. Based on the language attrition theories, the paper is going to analyze the following two problems: factors affecting of lexicon attrition, and the corresponding strategies to reduce lexicon attrition. The theories includes critical period theory and regression hypothesis and so on and the related strategies will be discussed from the angle of college and college student respectively. Through detailed analysis the paper aims to bring inspiration and help for sustainable learning of college students majoring in English.

摘要:
语言磨蚀是指一门外语学习者在中断使用该语言后出现的语言技巧丢失现象。这对于语言学习者来说,是一种常见现象。基于语言磨蚀理论,此论文将着重分析以下两类问题:词汇磨蚀的影响的因素,和抵制词汇磨蚀的相关策略。相关理论包括关键阀值理论和倒退假说等理论,而应对策略则针对相关专业大学生展开讨论。通过详细分析,该文致力于给英语专业大学生的可持续学习带来启发和帮助。

1. Introduction
Since the University of Pennsylvania held the Conference on the Loss of Language Skill in Philadelphia in 1980, as a newly established study field, language attrition has attracted a lot of attention from language researchers and established the important position of language attrition study in second language acquisition. Weltens (1989)7 in the study found that if there is a large difference between attrited language and first language in the structure, the degree of abrasion will be intensified correspondingly. Later, the foreign scholars have conducted a series of studies on the influencing factors, possible inspirations and coping strategies of language attrition, and gradually established a basic theoretical modes and frameworks for better understanding of the essence of process and application of rules of language attrition from a wide scope of perspectives.
