Abstract:

This paper makes a discussion on how to apply good English animated pictures to kid’s English teaching. The paper is made up of five parts. The beginning of the paper is the introduction, which states the thesis of the paper and mentions briefly some backgrounds of the kid’s English teaching in China. The second part illustrates the advantages of English animations in kid’s English teaching. The third part discusses the application of the English animated films in kid’s English teaching. The fourth part illustrates the principles to choose the proper animated movies for kids to learn English. The last part of the paper is the conclusion, which summarizes the role of English animations in kid’s English teaching and emphasizes English animated movies are the valuable teaching resources in kid’s English teaching.

摘  要：

本论文主要探讨如何让英语动画在儿童英语教学中发挥有效作用。论文由五个部分构成。论文第一部分简要介绍了当今中国儿童英语教学的现状从而引出论文主题——英语动画在儿童英语教学中的重要作用。论文第二部分分析了儿童英语教学中运用英语动画的种种益处。通过分析动画电影教学适合儿童心理的特点，阐明运用英语动画教学具有独特的优越性。第三部分通过列举几部英语动画分析说明了英语动画在实际课堂教学中的运用。第四部分分析说明了教师在儿童英语教学中选择英语动画进行英语教学的三大原则：即以教学内容为中心、以语言为中心和以儿童为中心。最后一部分是结论，总结了英语动画对儿童英语教学的作用并进一步强调英语动画片是儿童学习英语的重要资源。

1  Introduction
Nowadays, English has become an international language to communicate with each other in political, economical, scientific and technological fields. Hence the role of English has become more and more important and many Chinese parents have made their children start to learn English very early. A number of scientists also claimed that the children aged from 5 to 13 are in their best time to master a language. That is to say, their ability to acquire a language is at the top of their whole life. Therefore, the kid’s English teaching in China has become prosperous and how to teach the kids English well has become a hot topic in teaching field.
