Abstract
With the continuous development of technology, multimedia technology has entered our classroom as a teaching tool. Traditional teaching model is facing a great challenge. This thesis analyzes the pros and cons about traditional teaching and multimedia teaching and also makes explorations on how to make the two modes become complementary. Finally some people propose that improving English teaching mode in junior high school should be based on these two models. Integrating emotional communication into network teaching mode and enhancing teachers' professional knowledge can promote English teaching in junior high school , only by doing this can we meet the needs of the development of foreign language teaching. Altogether, we sum up an ideal teaching mode: traditional and multimedia technology combined.

摘要
随着科技的不断发展,多媒体技术作为一种教学手段已经走进了我们的课堂,传统的教学模式正面临极大的冲击,文章分析了传统教学与多媒体网络教学各自的利与弊,针对如何让两种模式互补进行思考和探索,最后提出应在两种模式取长补短的基础上,改进初中英语教学模式,在网络教学模式中融入传统模式的情感交流,提升教师专业知识水平,从而促进初中英语教学,适应我国外语教学发展的现状。在此基础上总结出一个理想的教学模式:传统教学与多媒体教学相结合。
