摘要

家庭是孩子的第一所学校，父母是孩子的第一任老师。家庭教育是一切教育的基础。家庭教育对个人发展和社会发展都起着至关重要的作用。由于中国和美国在历史背景，文化传统和社会条件等方面有着巨大的不同，导致中国家庭教育和美国家庭教育存在巨大差异。虽然美国的社会历史相对较短，但是它的家庭教育在许多方面却优于中国。本文通过对中美两国家庭教育的目的、内容和方式的比较，借鉴美国家庭教育的成功经验，结合我国国情，构建具有中国特色的家庭教育体制。

Abstract

Family is children’s first school, and parents are children’s first teachers. Family education is the foundation of all education for children. It plays a decisive role in both individual development and social development. Because of the historical backgrounds, cultural traditions and social situations, Chinese family education and American family education are different greatly. Though the United States is a country with a short history, its family education is much better than that of China in many aspects. The paper aims to create a better Chinese family education system with Chinese characteristics by comparing the aims, contents and methods of family education between China and America and by learning from the successful experience from American family education.
