摘  要

词汇是一门语言的基本单位，它在语言交流中起着至关重要的作用。要想掌握一门语言则必须掌握一定量的词汇，因而词汇记忆策略则显得极为重要。如果能够掌握正确的词汇记忆策略，那么词汇记忆就会获得事倍功半的效果。但词汇学习策略的重要性却常常被忽略。本研究通过对国内外相关研究做简要介绍来了解目前大学生英语词汇学习策略。通过查阅图书馆资料，浏览英特网，采访和观察等研究方法，本研究得出以下结论：正确的词汇策咯对词汇记忆有积极的作用。为了获得有效的，高效率的词汇学习效果，更多的词汇学习策略有待被发掘。

Abstract

Vocabulary is the basic elements in language learning. It plays a crucial role in communication. One must have a mastery of a good number of vocabularies in order to master a language, which further proves the significance to manipulate effective vocabulary learning strategies. The study is to understand the strategies generally adopted by college students by briefly introducing the relevant researches on this topic. By employing such methodologies as using the library, Internet search, interview and observation, several conclusions have been obtained as follows: different ideas have been proposed in order to improve strategies of vocabulary learning, and in the author’s opinion, it should be focused on recent and modern learning methods that are depended in the well ranked international schools. Appropriate vocabulary learning strategies need to be explored and developed in Chinese schools so that students can achieve high efficiency in vocabulary learning.
