摘  要

英语词汇学习始终是长久以来困扰学生的一个问题。通过对最近发展区理论的现状分析,可以发现这个理论会对词汇学习方面有很大的指导意义。为此,引入最近发展区这一个理论到英语词汇学习这一个领域,可以使那些对英语词汇学习丧失信心的学生,或发现学习英语词汇有困难的学生,重拾信心,提高学习兴趣和学习效率。最近发展区这一个理论的运用已经在很多方面得到了可嘉的成果,也有很多国内外的专家对它进行深入研究,但在英语词汇学习上的应用研究不多。在最近发展区理论的引导下,可以采用电脑游戏,阅读训练,唱歌,复习环节和团队合作等五个方法来促进英语词汇学习。最后,事实也证实这个理论是可以实现这一目的的,尽管它还有很多地方仍需改善。

Abstract

The process of English vocabulary learning has been a big and tough challenge for students for a long time. As a result, it is necessary to introduce the theory of Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD) into the field of English vocabulary learning. It can bring great benefits to those students who lose faith in studying English vocabulary or find much difficulty in English vocabulary learning, and it can promote their vocabulary learning efficiency and effectiveness by gaining the proper ways to acquire vocabulary. The theory has been successfully applied in various fields, which are conducted by various experts both at home and abroad. But only a few mentioned the application of it in the field of English vocabulary learning. In the paper, after the analysis of the current situation of the theory of ZPD, it discusses five ways to promote activeness of English vocabulary learning under the guide of this theory. There are computer games, reading exercises, songs, the revision and cooperative activities. Finally, it can be proved that this theory does help to the process of English vocabulary learning, even though there still is some room to improve it by further surveys.
