摘 要
语言与文化互相影响,互相作用。学习语言和了解语言所反映的文化是密不可分的。外语教学中的文化传授是以提高中学生的跨文化交际能力为目标。为更好的教授中学生英语,中学外语教学中的文化传授必须涉及到两个层次的任务:即传授文化知识和培养跨文化交际能力。本文在第一章介绍了文化和语言的关系以及文献综述中与本文有关的著作观点。第二章介绍了文化导入在中学英语中的重要性。第三章从教学内容,教学方式和教学工具三方面论述了文化导入在中学英语教学中的应用,提出了许多旨在培养学生跨文化概念的课堂教学策略。同时,也总结出在文化传授的过中,存在的一些问题以及相应的解决办法。

Abstract
Nowadays Language and culture have a tight relationship and affect each other. On the purpose of learning a foreign language, students, especially students in middle school should not only pay attention to the pronunciation, grammars, vocabulary and idioms, but also should know how to use the language to express their thoughts, habits, and action. Generally speaking, it is absolutely true that learning a language and knowing the culture about it can’t be separated. The aim of learning cultural background knowledge is to improve cross-cultural communicative ability of middle-school students. Therefore, cultural introduction in middle school English teaching should cover two aspects: one is introducing cultural knowledge and the other is developing cross-cultural communicative ability. In Chapter One, the author not only points out the relationship between culture and language, but also state data resource. In Chapter Two, the author points out the importance of cultural introduction in middle-school English teaching. In Chapter Three, the author states the application of culture introduction in middle-school teaching. In Chapter Four, the author discusses counter solutions in English culture teaching. Based on theories about culture and language, the author tries to find a way to connect culture introduction and English teaching closely. In a word, teachers are supposed to pay more attention to the cultural factors in their English teaching in the hope that English teaching in middle school can be greatly improved.
