摘　要

随着全球一体化，中英两国之间的婚姻文化差异在我们日常生活中变得越来越重要。众所周知，婚姻是文化中的一部分。因此，婚姻文化很重要。为了避免在生活中于交流时的尴尬，人们需要学习中西婚姻文化的差异。这篇文章将会通过对比分析在全球化的背景下中英方婚姻文化体制的不同。并且作者把重点放在介绍中西方不同婚姻观的婚姻文化以及不同的婚礼仪式。此外，随着不同国家间交流的不断加深，中英方婚姻文化的相互影响是不可避免的。因此，人们应该适当的了解一些不同国家的婚姻文化以便于日常交流与工作。

Abstract

In contemporary society, it is extremely common for us to discover a phenomenon that the different marriage customs between China and the United Kingdom is becoming more and more obvious and important in our daily life. As we all know, marriage is a part of culture. This thesis compares and analyses the differences of national marital culture system between the Chinese and Britain under the background of globalization. And the author will focus on the different marriage culture which leads to the different concept or attitude toward marriage and the different wedding etiquette between Chinese and Britain. Besides, with the frequent communication among different nations, the mutual influence of eastern and western marriage culture is inevitable. This thesis compares and analyses the differences of national marital culture system between the Chinese and Britain under the background of globalization. And the author will focus on the different marriage culture which leads to the different concept or attitude toward marriage and the different wedding etiquette between Chinese and Britain. Besides, with the frequent communication among different nations, the mutual influence of eastern and western marriage culture is inevitable. Therefore, people should learn some knowledge about different marriage culture which is helpful to communication and work in daily life.

1 Introduction
    It is commonly acknowledged that marriage is formed in a long historical evolution of the marriage custom in a nation. It is the regularity of the activities that restricts people’s awareness of marriage. Marriage custom’s binding does not depend on the law, and it can not rely on science tests neither, but on the force of habit, traditional culture and national psychology. During the development of human history, the institution of marriage and the family system have experienced different processes of development. Human have experienced group marriage, the dual system of marriage and individual marriage system.
    As a union of a man and a woman and a family formation stage, marriage includes not only marriage, but also the preparation phase for the marriage and the performance stage after the festivities. It runs through the whole process of life. These customs, as a national symbol and cultural development, plays a very important role in ethnic studies and the history of mankind.
