摘　要

随着中国经济的发展，人们对于教育也越来越重视。一方面，随着经济的发展，生活竞争的压力也不断地在增大，另一方面，国家也在实行人才强国与科教兴国战略，所以人们期望获得更好的教育来让个人和国家更有竞争优势。而教育的开端来自于家庭教育。家庭是孩子们第一个接触和观察社会，以及学习知识技能的地方。美国，是唯一的超级大国，同时也是世界公认的教育强国育,而中美两国的家庭教育也存在着很多差异。本文最主要的方法就是例证法，就是举中美家庭教育的例子来证明中美家庭教育当中所存在的一些差异。笔者会从中美家庭教育的差异、差异产生的原因，美国家庭教育的优势，和对中国家庭教育的建议这四个主要方面来研究中美家庭教育的差异。最后希望能够通过本文，能让人们认识到中美家庭教育的差异，并借鉴美国家庭教育的优势，让中国家庭教育有更好的发展。

Abstract

With the development of China’s economy, people pay more and more attention to education. On the one hand, the pressure of competition in life increases. On the other hand, the government has implemented the strategies of reinvigorating China through human resource development and rejuvenating the country through science and education. So people hope that they can receive better education to make people and the whole nation more competitive. The beginning of education is family education. The family is the first environment for the young to contact, observe society, and acquire knowledge.  America is the only super advanced country in the world, which is also universally recognized in education. There are some differences between Chinese family education and American family education, such as goals of education, ways of education, content of education. In this article, the main method which should be used is exemplification. That is to say, to illustrate some examples about the two nation’s family education to show some differences in family education between China and America. The author will describe the differences of family education, research the reasons causing the differences,   discuss the advantages of American family education, and give some suggestions to Chinese family education. At last, the author hopes that the article can make people know the differences of family education between China and America and learn advantages of American family education to make Chinese family education more perfect.

1 Introduction
1.1 The Introduction of family education
Family education has great preconception. Family is the first school of children. And parents are the first teachers of children. In the family, “children firstly receive the ideological and moral influence, which will be the foundation and the initial cognitive structures of the ideological and moral education they would get in school" This characteristic is common in each country. Either in China or in the West, parent-child relation is built on the basis of blood ethical relations. Parents living together with the children in the long-term and their care for the children form a child's trust of parents. That is to say, children are easier to be educated by their parents, their habits and moral behavior can educate the children. Therefore, based on this, parents can foster children's emotional quality and develop children's moral enthusiasm and creativity. And there is a famous story in China that is “the three moving of Mencius’s mother”. This story tells that Mencius’ parents could educate the children some patriotic knowledge.
