摘　要

救赎是人对自身局限性的不满，失望甚至绝望的一种表现。于是，人们便采取种种态度，手段或措施来弥补，以获得自己灵魂的救赎。因作者身处的时代背景不同，宗教信仰不同，致使作品中表现出来的救赎方式也不经相同。本文以两部极具代表性的电影《杀手里昂》和《追风筝的人》为例，剖析两种不同的救赎方式——爱与自我反思。同时对两部作品中救赎意象的分析，深化主题。本文的意义在于通过对救赎的分析，思考如何让心灵得到平静。

Abstract

Salvation reflects people’s feelings of discontent and disappointment for the limitations of their own. Therefore, people use many different attitudes and measures to search for the spiritual salvation. Under the influence of the redemption concept, works that have a tendency give more attention to the individual soul purification, spiritual relief and the realization of the value of individual life. The two writers are different in backgrounds and religious reliefs, so a different theme of redemption in their works. The purpose of this thesis lies in analyzing and contrasting the different ways to get redemption of two films named Léon and The Kite Runner. One way of salvation is love, another is self-examination. The significance of this thesis is to show the value of salvation and consider how people can live in a more calmly, more meaningful and happy life. If a person can face his past with a forgiving and unselfish heart and tries his best to redeem, he will finally achieve the redemption of his soul.

1 Introduction
1.1 Definition of salvation
    According to the online dictionary, the definition of salvation is varied. In a broad sense, salvation is the act of redeeming or the condition of having been redeemed. From the perspective of religion, it means deliverance from sin through the incarnation, sufferings, and death of Christ. In addition, salvation also means atonement for guilt. Nobody is perfect. People may make mistakes because of wrong decisions in their life. As long as people commit sins, it will be haunting them restlessly. People can get relief from the haunting past by redeeming themselves.
    Salvation often appears in the literature works as a theme. Salvation reflects people’s feelings of discontent and disappointment for the limitations of their own.
