摘　要

    英语合成词作为一种最强有力的构造新词的途径，在商务英语的构词中扮演着重要角色。英语合成词指的是由两个或两个以上的英文单词组成的具有新的意义的词汇单位，它在语法意义和语义意义上都是一个独立的词。商务谈判的语言有委婉性，模糊性，说服性和专业性的特点，合成词能简洁的表现出这点。明确定义它的标准有拼写标准，语音标准，语义标准。总的来说，在商务谈判中主要用到的是名词合成词，形容词合成词，动词合成词。通过举例分析以及探讨国内外研究成果的方式，着重研究了复合名词和复合形容词的构造及运用，这对培养和提高国际商务谈判水平是很有帮助的。

Abstract

    English word formation of compounds as a most powerful process to create new words plays an important role in business English word formation. A compound is a lexical unit consisting of more than one base and functioning both grammatically and semantically as a single word. The features of language in business negotiation is that it has euphemistic language, fuzzy wording, polemic utterance and professional words, compounds can concisely show them. The criterion which can precisely define it is orthographic criterion, phonological criterion, semantic criterion. In conclusion, English noun compounds, English adjective compounds, English verb compunds are often used in the business negotiation, through demonstrate examples, discussing the scholar’s research achievement at home and abroad, mainly study the word formation and using of noun compounds and adjective compounds, which is surely helpful to develop the ability of taking negotiation and improve the international business negotiation level.

With the swift and shift development of international economy and trade ,together with the fast development of Chinese economy, especially after joined the WTO, the exchanges and cooperation between China and other foreign countries are more and more frequent, As a result, there is a highly increasing demand of businessmen. As well as the business English. English is in common use of the international business society. No one can say clearly how many businessmen everyday in the world are using English to negotiate. And for English, compounding is perhaps the most powerful word building process, a discussion of the relationship between the compounds and negotiations should be taken immediately.
