摘  要

随着中国经济不断快速发展，中国在很多领域发挥着举足轻重的地位，尤其在经济领域。自2001年起，中国加入WTO，中国的贸易市场越来越大。如今，商界人士通过彼此的交流和讨论来解决相关问题。商务词汇有很多特点和现象。比如，专业术语，缩略词，外来词及词的修辞手法现象等。专业术语和缩略词，体现了商务词汇的独特和专业；而外来词等的出现更加体现了商务词汇的历史性和时代性；再者委婉语也传达了商务词汇要表达的态度和情感。这些特点使商务语言更加独一无二。它能更加有效地表达信件的内在涵义，以达到双方共同理解相关内容的目的。现在很多人都在研究这一话题：通过对商务词汇及其在具体商务情境中的使用特点的学习与研究，人们才能更好地运用这门语言；贸易会更成功顺畅。

Abstract

With rapid development of Chinese economy, China is making a great contribution in many fields, especially in economic aspects. Since China has joined the WTO in 2001, there are hundreds of thousands trades China has done with, and Chinese trading market is becoming larger and larger in the future days.  At present, businessmen communicate and discuss with each other to solve some issues The business vocabulary possesses some distinguished characteristics, such as terminology, abbreviation, loanwords, and rhetorical features and so on. Terminologies and abbreviations represent the business vocabulary’s style and professions; the appearance of loanwords and neologisms shows the history and the times; what’s more, euphemisms also can convey the attitude and mood that the business vocabulary expresses. These characteristics and phenomenon make business vocabulary unique and significant. All these vocabularies can express the inner meanings more efficiently to enable both sides to reach agreements. Nowadays, a lot of students and professors are studying and doing researches on this topic: people can use this business language much better through studying and making surveys of its vocabularies and the characteristics in typical business situations; and trade will be more successful and smooth without misunderstanding.

1  Introduction

    This paper mainly analyzes the characteristics of English business vocabulary. As is known to all, China has become stronger and stronger recently, and it plays a crucial role in international status. In recent decades, China has thousands of international trades, and it is a big country with import and export. When it comes to business, business correspondence is of great importance. Business letters are including some business vocabulary, and English business words have their own traits and phenomenon.
