摘　 要

茶文化是物质文明和精神文明的集中体现。随着饮茶风尚的不断盛行，世界文化交流日益频繁，世界各国人民的生活方式、风土人情和宗教理念逐渐与茶文化相融合，呈现出了各具特色的茶文化。中国是文明古国，自古以来便一直崇尚以茶待客的传统礼仪。每天以茶而开始，以茶而结束，英国人不断重复着茶来茶去的作息规律，乐此不疲。中英两国都是世界上数一数二的饮茶大国，各自独特的茶文化代表着东西方不同的饮茶风格，是各自传统文化的重要组成部分。对于中英两国茶文化差异的比较研究，有利于个人身心素养的提升，有利于中华传统文化的传承和中英两国文化交流的发展。本文将从茶的起源、种类、饮茶方式、茶道、茶的社会影响这五个方面的差异入手，分析造成这些差异的原因。

Abstract

Tea culture is a concentrated reflection of the material and spiritual civilization. With the prevalence of tea drinking habits, the world’s cultural exchanges become more frequent. There is a cultural fusion among the lifestyle, customs and religious ideas of people all over the world. The distinctive tea cultures appear in different countries and drinking tea has become a worldwide phenomenon. China is a country with a time-honored civilization and a land of ceremony and decorum. Whenever guests visit, it is necessary to make and serve tea to them. On the other hand, English people start their day with a cup of tea and also end it with a cup of tea, which is repeated as a routine but the people in England still cling to it. As is known to all, China and the UK both are the largest countries of tea drinking. Therefore, the unique tea cultures in the two countries represent different styles of tea drinking between the east and the west. No matter how long the tea culture history has been, both of them play an important part in their traditional culture. For this reason, the studies on this topic can be of great value to enhance the physical and mental literacy, carry forward and develop traditional Chinese cultures and improve the cultural communication between China and the UK. This essay will focus on five main areas of the difference: history of tea culture, types of tea, ways for people to enjoy tea, tea ceremony, social impact. Moreover, it also contains causes of the difference.
