摘　要

语言是文化的一部分，是文化的重要载体，所以语言理解就包含着文化理解，而在英语发展的每个阶段,基督教的影响都清晰可见，同时基督教的经典《圣经》对英美文学作品中的英语语言的影响也颇为明显。如果我们对基督教没有了解，就很难理解这些与基督教相关习语、格言等，也就不能真正的掌握英语语言，从而也就不能进行真正的跨文化交流。所以分析基督教对英语产生的各种影响，有利于英语的学习。

Abstract

Language is a part of culture.Language is the carrier of the culture.so Language understanding includes culture understanding. And we can clearly see the influence of Christianity on English in each development stage.At the same time,the Bible,as Christian classic, It is quite obvious to see the influence on literature works.It is difficult to understand idioms mottos which related to Christianity if we do not understand the Christianity.Furthermore,we can’t communicate interculturally in a real way.Analyse the influence of Christianity on English can help students to be successful in English learning

1.Introduction
  Christianity is an important source of western culture,it produced a profound influence on west culture.West Culture includes words, language, regional, music, literature, painting, sculpture, drama, film and so on,While language consists of dioms, mottos, allusions, proper nouns ,everyday vocabulary and so on. The English language we speak today went through three stages, that is Old English, Middle English and Modern English. If we date back to the history of English, it would be certain to say that many elements have helped to form the language; but one element that is so crucial that we should pay special attention to is the influence of Christianity.The Bible,as the classic of Christianity culture,has played a great influence on society,also included the influence on English language.According to the hierarchical classification,this paper aims to illustrate language and words in English,at the same time,explain its source and meaning.
