摘　要

随着全球化的发展，各国间的文化交流日益增强。具有代表性的茶文化与咖啡文化是中美两国文化不可缺少的部分。本论文在介绍中国茶文化与美国茶文化的基础上，通过两种文化的对比，探究其折射出的两国民族文化的异同。最后阐述分析两种文化相互间的影响与融合，以及其现今各自的状况和发展趋势。通过对比研究茶文化与咖啡文化，加深对中美两国的了解，促进两国经济往来，巩固两国的友好关系，为跨文化交流提供途径。

Abstract

With the development of globalization, cultural communications between countries become frequent. Tea culture and coffee culture are the indispensable part of Chinese culture and American culture. Based on the introduction of Chinese tea culture and American coffee culture, this paper will discuss the similarities and differences through the contrast of these two cultures, and also analysis the mutual influence and fusion between China and America. The current situation and development trend will be discussed as well. The comparative study of tea culture and coffee culture will improve understanding of two countries and enhance economic ties, and consolidate the friendly relations. It provides the available approaches on intercultural communication.

1 Introduction
   Tea and coffee are the most widely consumed beverages all over the world. China is the homeland of tea, while coffee is extremely crucial to America. Therefore, China and America may be the most representative countries of tea culture and coffee culture.
However, tea and coffee are not only the traditional and popular beverages, but also contain the national cultural background, history, economy, living style and so on. Each specific culture under the cultural background is inseparable and connects other aspects closely.
Nowadays, the intercultural communication is getting more frequently due to the fast growing economy, widely-spread internet and convenience transportation. With the development of relationship between China and America, cultural exchange is a conspicuous issue.
