摘　要

现代经济的实际发展表明国际贸易是经济发展的重要部分和强大动力。改革开放以来，外贸业务迅猛增长，这对中国经济乃至世界经济都贡献巨大，外贸人才的需求也随之越来越大。英语作为现如今使用最广泛的交流方式，在外贸中占有主要的地位。而在外贸英语函电中，人们常常对报盘与还盘的概念理解不清，因此，容易对两者的使用方式混淆。本研究主要通过对比报盘与还盘的写作步骤、基本写作原则、定义与格式、写作目的以及写作时语言特色等各项相同点与不同点从而区分两者。通过对报盘与还盘的写作原则的相同点与不同点的分析，使人们能够充分认识报盘与还盘，并且掌握一些与报盘与还盘相关的专业术语，从而有助于培养更多具有相关知识的人才。

Abstract

The actual development of the modern economy indicates that international trade is an important part of economic development and the strong driving force. Foreign trade business is growing rapidly since China’s reform and opening up. This contributes a lot to China’s economy and the world economy. The need for talented person of foreign trade is increasing. English as the most widely used language today occupies the main position in foreign trade. In foreign trade English correspondence, people usually can not understand the concept of the offer and counter-offer clearly. Therefore, they often make a confusion of the usage of the offers and the counter-offers. The present study mainly compares the writing steps, basic writing principles, definition and format, writing purpose and linguistic features in writing and so on to distinguish the offers and the counter-offers. By analyzing the similarities and differences of the writing principles of the offers and counter-offers, people can overall know the definition of the offers and counter-offers, and master some professional terms associated with the offers and counter-offers and help to cultivate more talents with relevant knowledge.

1 Introduction
1.1 The foreign trade English correspondence
After China’s WTO entry, foreign trade business has developed in the direction of the industrialization, collectivization and internationalization. It is because of the continuous development of the Chinese foreign trade that the foreign trade English correspondence has been rapidly growing in our country, and the foreign trade has played a positive role in the development of our country’s economy and the development of foreign trade.
