Abstract:
Fuzzy language appears frequently in different aspects and is used in many domains for reflecting the objective world and expressing the human thoughts. The fuzziness in English for business negotiation will be interpreted by pragmatic theories, such as the Co-operative Principle, the Politeness Principle and the face theory thought. This pragmatic study of fuzziness in business negotiation can lead readers to paying attention to its use, functions and strengthening the chances of achieving his communicative and even commercial goals. In this thesis, the writer will analyze the pragmatic function of fuzziness in business English. The first part will introduce the origin of the fuzziness language. The writer will talk about the characters and definition of fuzzy language by previous scholars. In the second part, the writer will describe the necessity of the usage of fuzzy language and the important role that pragmatic fuzziness plays in business English, while emphasizing on the precautions in its use. The question is that how can we make a negotiation go smoothly with the fuzzy language in business English. The last part is the conclusion to remind people of the importance of pragmatic fuzziness.

摘 要:
模糊语言出现在许多领域并被人们广泛使用反应客观世界,表达人类的思想。商务英语中的模糊语在翻译过程中有着实际意义,比如合作原则,礼貌原则,面子理论,等等。这些实际意义能让人们在商务英语谈判中起到决定性作用,人们会注意到它的用法和功能,从而更好的掌握商务谈判目标的合理性。这篇论文中,作者分析了模糊语在商务英语中的实际语用功能,第一部分介绍了模糊语言研究的起源,简单介绍了一下研究方法,并讨论了前人关于模糊的定义,回顾了往年的研究成果及商务领域中的探索。第二部分描述了模糊语言的概念和存在的原因,商务英语的特征以及模糊的表现和作用。教会大家怎么在商务英语中更加流利的谈判。最后一部分提醒大家商务英语中模糊语的重要性,并且将继续研究下去。
