摘要

《刮痧》以中医刮痧疗法产生的误会为主线，反映了华人在国外由于文化的冲突而陷入种种困境，后又因人们的诚恳与爱心使困境最终被冲破的感人故事。这部电影从很多角度展现了中美文化的差异，以及许多的正面碰撞，很形象很生动地展现在剧情的发展之中。以这部电影为切入点，深入了解美国与中国的文化差异。
根据电影中出现的文化差异现象——中美的家庭教育差异和中美对孝道的理解这两个方面进行分析并得出结论。

Abstract
   
The film Guasha Treatment takes the misunderstanding about the Guasha treatment as the main line of the story. It reflects that Chinese get into different kinds of troubles abroad because of the different culture. And at last, the problem is solved because of human’s hearty and love and makes it as a moving story. The film shows the many ways American cultural differences, and many of the frontal impact, it is vividly displayed in the image of the evolving story. The film makes the story as a starting point to better understanding of differences between U.S. and Chinese culture.
According to the movie phenomenon of the cultural differences - differences in American education and American families on the understanding of these two aspects of filial piety to analyze and draw conclusions.

1 Introduction

The story takes place at the bank of Mississippi river in St. Louis. Xu Datong has been American for 8 years, who succeed in his pursuit and has a happy family. At the annual industry meeting, Xu Datong told everybody excitedly: I love US, my American dream come ture! But the coming accident makes Xu Datong awake from his sweet dream.

Xu Datong’s five years old son—Dennis ran a temperature because of having diarrhea. However his grandfather cannot understand the instruction book of the medicine, he used the traditional Chinese Guasha treatment for Dennis. And that became the evidence for Xu Datong maltreated his son.
