A Comparison between Chess and Chinese Chess

Abstract
This thesis mainly elaborates the differences between Chinese chess and chess. As we all know, Chinese chess and chess are popular games around the world . Both of them have long historical origins and development process. They have great similarities in many aspects, for example, their piece number is the same. Moreover, their piece roles are similar and their winning sign is to check the opposite king. However, they are also different in many sides. In this thesis, I will elaborate their similarities and differences in the aspects of pieces, boards and rules. Through these comparisons, we can know the two kinds of chess better and experience the cultural differences between the east and the west.
