摘要

改革开放以来，经济力量不断发展，社会观念也产生了翻天覆地的变化，婚恋问题是一个当下极具社会关注度的话题。其中，美国文化的进口有着势不可挡的力量，与此，美国婚恋价值观深深地影响着当代中国人。本文将从中美人民普遍存在的婚恋价值观的角度切入，对中美两国人民的婚恋价值观的历史变化和当代普遍认知进行比较和简要分析，揭示当代中国人对美国婚恋价值观的认知误区及其所带来的社会影响，并阐明笔者的看法，帮助树立正确合理的婚恋价值观念。

Abstract

Since reform and opening, with the growing development of economic force, people’s social consciousness also has undergone earth-shaking changes and marriage issue is a current topic of great social concern. Especially the import of American culture has overwhelming power, and the value of American marriage affected contemporary Chinese people profoundly. This article is to provide a brief comparative analysis on the historic changes and general cognition of contemporary Chinese and American people’s love and marriage from the perspective of marriage values of the two peoples. The thesis aims at showing some misunderstanding and the social influence of it and clarifies my view, helps to establish the correct and rational love and marriage values.

1.    Introduction
1.1 Definition of love and marriage

Most adults hope to establish a close and meaningful relationship with another person and make the relationship work. The best and most acceptable way is marriage.
Every known society has marriage，but the value of marriage varies from culture to culture. And the functions perfumes have changed over time. There are some main definitions about “love” “marriage” “values” from OXFORD Advanced Learner’s English-Chinese Dictionary:
 “Love” is a strong feeling of deep affection for somebody that you are sexually attracted to; “Marriage” is the legal relationship between a husband and wife; “Values” is the beliefs about what is right and wrong and what is important in life. Different people maybe have a completely different set of values and expectations.
