摘要

随着中美两国人民之间的交流，两国的文化也开始频繁地交流起来。随着感情的深入，爱情也随之产生。现在，有越来越多的国际婚姻。因为婚礼习俗也是一个国家中民族的文化体现，所以两国都有各自的文化，各自都有关于婚礼的不同习俗。两个国家的人也许会在同一件事物上存在着一些争论。比如，婚礼时婚纱是什么颜色的？在哪里举办婚宴？本文将从三个方面，婚纱、婚礼上的礼节、婚宴，介绍中美现代婚礼的不同之处，以此帮助新人避免文化间的差异所带来的不愉快。

Abstract

Because of the communication between Chinese and American, culture exchange between two countries starts frequently. With the emotion penetrating, the love has happened. Nowadays, there are more and more international marriages. Because wedding convention is a performance of a country’s culture, two countries have different cultures; they have their own convention about the wedding. Maybe people come from two countries have some arguments about a same thing. For example, what is the dress’s color? Where do the party play? So this article wants to introduce some differences of modern weddings between China and America from the wedding dress, the etiquette in the wedding and the wedding party to avoid the unpleasantness for the differences of the wedding.

1.    Introduction

Jia yuxin, the author of Interculture Communcation, says that culture is the sum of people’s thinking, words, behavior and feelings. Under different environments, different nations build their own special cultures. The term “intercultural communication” may refer to communications between people from different nations or with different cultural backgrounds, contains people’s overviews, thinking ways, value oriental and customs. It has been emerged and impeded by cultural conflicts.
With the society’s economy and social civilization developing, the world has gradually integrated itself into a globalization process. World citizens are going to be exposed to a global culture, a global economy and a global environment. Among them, the globalization of cultures plays an important role in changing people’s values, attitudes of face to society etc. The globalization refers to a worldwide process. It makes the Economic systems and societies more uniform, more integrated and more dependent.
