摘 要
入国问禁,入乡随俗。关于禁忌的研究一直以来受到许多专家、学者的青睐.但对饮食习俗禁忌的研究为数不多。在跨文化交际中,了解一些饮食习俗禁忌的差异是非常必要的。本文针对中国和美国之间的文化差异,分析、对比他们在饮食内容和饮食方式上的习俗禁忌。通过研究,了解中国和美国饮食文化禁忌的差异,理解其深刻的文化内涵,必将有助于文化的进一步交流与发展,有助于我们在跨文化交际中更好的学习和沟通。

Abstract
When in Rome do as the Rome does. Lots of experts and scholars have great interest in the studying taboo, but the study on dietary taboo is few. In cross-culture, it is very necessary to know some dietary taboos. This article aims the culture differences between China and America, analyzes and compares the different dietary taboo in these two countries. With the help of research, we can learn the different dietary taboo culture in China and America, and further study the cultural contention. And this will make the culture better communicated and developed. What’s more, it will help us learn more in the cross-culture communication.

1 Introduction
1.1 Research background
After the Second World War, people find that the earth becomes smaller and smaller: politicians from each country are busy in communication on the intercultural stage; international companies are founded everywhere, more and more people visit foreign countries. All in all, cross-culture communication becomes so frequent. At the same time, people can see the conflicts and problems in cross-culture communication again and again. China and America are the most influenced and important countries around the world. Therefore, the communication of these two countries will have an effect around the world. However, the traditional culture and history of these two countries have so many differences, especial the dietary culture. Dietary taboo is an important part of dietary culture. Human being cannot live without eating and drinking. Dietary taboo also has great influence on the cross-culture communication. It is helpful to understand some dietary taboos for better communication.
