摘要

在经济全球化的今天,中国与世界各国的贸易往来也日益频繁。商务函电成为了中外企业进行沟通的主要工具,是贸易双方保持密切联系的一座桥梁。礼貌原则作为商务函电重的主要语言特点,是促成双方合作的催化剂和润滑剂。因而准确合理的使用礼貌原将在商务沟通中发挥巨大作用。本文旨在通过分析相关的实用性策略,研究提高商务信函写作技能。

Abstract

In the economic globalization, the trade between China and other countries around the world become more and more frequently. Business correspondence has become the major tool in the communication of Chinese and foreign enterprises and also act as a bridge serving to keep the mutual close contact. As an important characteristic of business correspondence language, politeness principal is the catalyst or lubricant to facilitate the mutual cooperation .Therefore, accurate and right use of politeness principal plays a great significant role in business communication. This paper aims at exploring methods of improving writing skills for business correspondence by analyzing the related pragmatic principles.

1. Introduction

Business correspondence plays an central role in business communication .It serves as a bridge between the exporters and importers ,through which  business can be done more efficiently and effectively and also and reach a fair and mutually satisfactory deal. It is used as in some certain purpose,such as enquiry, quotation, shipping advice, complain, compensation, and so on. In order to give the receiver a good impression with the sender or his company, and deal with the problem. While business letters should comply with some rules. Politeness principle is one of the important rules. A polite and appropriate business letter can lead the receiver to make an active responding .otherwise; it will create a bad impression on the receiver so that he are not willing to cooperate with you. Business letters are written against a certain background; therefore, it is essential to study how to enhance communication by applying principles of pragmatics. This paper aims at exploring methods of improving writing skills for business correspondence by analyzing the related pragmatic principles.
