摘 要

电影作为一种世界性的大众性的艺术形式无疑在中外文化交流中占有重要的一席之地。这几年，偶像剧，纪实剧，搞笑剧等，荧屏类型剧层出不穷。而许多观众钟情于悬疑剧。悬疑剧一直是国外热门剧种，如福尔摩斯的探案系列，女作家阿加莎的侦探波罗系列等均已成为影响深远的经典。本文对20世纪以来国内和国外的悬疑剧的发展进行整体的分析和研究，把握悬疑剧的总体特征，并且指出我们西方悬疑剧中我们应该借鉴学习的地方。

Abstract

As a universal public art form, movie has played a very important role in the communication between different countries. Drama, documentary drama, comedy, etc, have come out endlessly in recent years, while many audiences are focusing on the suspense drama. Suspense drama has always been the hottest drama in the other countries, like the detective series of Sherlock Holmes and the Polo series of the detective story-writer Agatha, and both of their works have been the classic works that have a deep influence on the literature. This easy focuses on the overall analysis and study of the suspense drama home and abroad, besides it also grasps the overall features of suspense drama and points out where we should learn from the suspense drama abroad.

Chapter 1 Introduction
Suspense drama contributes significantly to the enjoyment of a narrative by its audience (Brewer and Ohttsuka 1988). Suspense is the feeling of excitement or anxiety that audience members experience when they are waiting for something to happen and are uncertain about a significant outcome. It makes you want to know the result. Sometimes the audience’s suspense level is affected by the number of solutions available to the problems faced by a narrative's protagonists (Gerrig and Bernardo 1994; Comisky and Bryant 1982). Thinking about a scene that several men are playing cards around a table, it would not evoke suspense from the audience if they are ignorant of a bomb underneath the table. This is the example of the suspense drama. Waiting for the update of the US series is a long period of torment, and there will be another torment for the audience who love the suspense drama like The Prison Break and Lost, because these kinds of suspense dramas really have long run for the case and people will be puzzled at who on earth is the murder, finally after a long term of investigation., which makes you feel that is has been hundreds’ years. People will be shocked at the results the he should be the murder, I really did not think of that. This is a most obvious characteristic of the American suspense drama, it is arising your appetite while he is wearing down your patience. Of course, people who can not endure this kind of torment can turn to the suspense drama in our country. At the same time, many people choose to be the fans of the domestic suspense drama.
