摘要

在日常交际中，人们往往只注重语言交际，忽略非语言交际。非语言因素是引起不同文化人交流误解、文化冲突的重要原因之一。随着中国人民对外交流的日益频繁，对中西方非语言交际的差异研究具有重要的意义。
本文对中西方国家非语言层面进行了对比研究。从中西方日常交际中最基本、最常见、最重要的非语言符号为研究对象，以身势语、客体语言等为基点进行中西方非语言交际的对比。
本文描述了中西方非语言交际差异，解释了差异的原因，并提出对中西方交际具有一定指导意义的建议。其目的是为了激发人们对非语言交际重要性的认识和对中西方非语言交际差异的兴趣，从而提高跨文化交际的能力。以期能为中西方交际作贡献，帮助交际双方减少误解，建立更良好的关系。

ABSTRACT

In daily communication, people usually pay attention to verbal communication, while neglecting nonverbal codes. Nonverbal cues are one of the main causes for misunderstanding and culture conflict between people of different cultures. With increasing contact between China and Western countries, the study of the differences between Chinese and Westerners nonverbal communication is very important.
The thesis is a study of nonverbal communication between China and Western countries. The most basic, familiar and important nonverbal codes used in Chinese and western daily communication are objects of the research. The study is based on these kinds of nonverbal communication, namely body language, noverbal sound ,object language and environmental language.
The thesis describes the differences of nonverbal communication between China and Western countries. In addition, it explains and analyzes reasons for the nonverbal differences. The thesis aims at arousing readers' awareness of the importance of nonverbal communication and their interests in differences between Chinese and Western nonverbal communication. Therefore, readers may improve intercultural communicative competence. The thesis is designed to provide guidance for Sino- Western intercourse, to help both parties reduce misunderstanding and build a better relationship.thesis
