摘要
作为一个中国导演,李安在美国取得了巨大的成功。无数的观众被他独特的电影所深深吸引。作为一个中国人,李安在美国生活了很多年,他熟悉传统中国文化和西方文化。作为当今唯一一个能做真正的中国和西方电影的导演,李安的成长有着独特的文化背景:传统儒道的成长记忆,东西方互为渗透的文化背景,以及文化表达上的“他者的身份”,这形成了他独特的电影思维。他的电影总能给观众带来独一无二的视觉享受,展现东西方文化的不同,以及东西方文化的交流。
本文试图分析李安电影的文化基因和心理特征。通过分析电影《喜宴》、《饮食男女》、《色戒》来解析其伦理困惑以及文化命题。

Abstract
As a Chinese director, Ang Lee achieved a great success in United State. Numbers of viewers are deeply impressed by the unique artistic charm of his film. As a Chinese person who lives in the West for many years, Ang Lee is versed in the traditional Chinese culture and Western culture. As the sole film director that can make authentic Chinese and Western movies today, Ang Lee’s growth has unique culture background: the traditional Confucianism, mixture of east-west culture, and the “other identity” in culture expression, which from the unique characteristics of Ang Lee’s movie. His films bring the viewers unique visual enjoyment, reveal culture differences between the East and the West, and promote East-West culture exchanges.
This paper tries to analyze the culture genes and creation psychology of Ang Lee’s movies and interpret the ethical confusion and culture propositions by analyzing the “The Wedding Banquet”, “Eat Drink Man Woman” and “Lust, Caution” directed by Ang Lee.

1 Introduction
No director of modern film seems to contribute more to the debate on globalization then does Ang Lee. In the sense of blurring the distinctions between cultural identities and plumbing their interrelationships, Ang Lee’s films bring the viewers unique visual enjoyment, reveal culture differences between the East and the West.
Ang Lee was born in and grew up in the town of Chaochou in Pingtung, a southern agricultural county in Taiwan. Lee left Taiwan in 1978 and relocated to the United States, where he completed a Masters of Fine Arts in Directing at New York University in Manhattan. His directorial focus shifted back and forth between his homeland and his adopted home in his films. Almost each of Ang Lee’s films reflects his interest in the topic of culture identity and exchange in the face of increasingly rapid globalization. Three of Ang Lee’s works, The Wedding Banquet (1993) , Eat Drink Man Woman (1994). , and Lust, Caution (2007), are particularly clear examples of this phenomenon.
