摘要

好莱坞就像一个无可媲美的神话，一直以其傲然的王者姿态屹立于世界电影之林。在好莱坞电影风靡全球的同时，美国的思想、文化以及社会风情也透过电影这一媒介广为世界各地的人们所认识。近年来好莱坞电影中越来越频繁地可以发现中国元素的存在，由此可以一窥美国对中国意识观念的转变。美国对中国究竟是抱着何种观念态度？其意识观念转变的内因及外因又是什么？这些问题的解答可以使人们对中美关系有一个大致的总结与认识。
本文以跨文化传播为根本理论依据，基于电影与文化传播的关系，以内容分析和案例分析为研究方法，致力于研究好莱坞电影中的中国元素体现出的美国对中国意识观念的转变。文章首先阐述好莱坞电影与美国文化思想的关系，其次针对不同时期好莱坞电影中的中国元素进行梳理，并结合具体电影中的实例分析美国对中国意识观念的转变，然后对这一转变产生的内外因进行总结，最后阐明开展此研究的意义，并就中国元素与好莱坞未来的发展提出相关建议。
本文不仅是对现存关于电影研究文献的重要补充，也为对中美关系的深层研究提供了参考依据，更为如何处理中美两国的关系及文化交流提供了借鉴材料。

Abstract

Hollywood, which emerges as the king of world movies, seems to be a matchless myth in human history. When the Hollywood movies have swept the world, the ideology, culture and social customs of America are widely recognized by people around the world through the medium of the movie. In recent years, more and more Chinese elements frequently appear in Hollywood movies. And the change in American's conceptions of China can be got from these Chinese elements. What is the attitude held by America toward China? And what are the internal and external causes for the change of the conception? Solutions to these questions can make people gain a general summary and understanding on Sino-US relations.
This paper works on the study of the change of the American consciousness reflected by the Chinese elements in Hollywood movies. And it employs cross-cultural communication theory as the theoretical foundation, basing on the relationship between movie and cultural communication and adopting content analysis and case study as the research method. This paper first explains the relationship between Hollywood and American culture and consciousness. After that, it sorts out the Chinese elements in Hollywood movies at different times and analyzes the change in America's conceptions of China with examples in the movies, then sum up internal and external causes for the change of the conception. At last, the significances of the study, with some suggestions for future development of Hollywood and Chinese elements, are provided.
This paper aims to not only make an important complement to the existing literature on the film, but also provide a reference for the deep study of Sino-US relations. And it even offers materials of experience for how to handle China-US relations and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
