摘要

论文以电影《阿甘正传》为题材，分析人物的各自命运和电影所表达的主题思想。整篇文章分为四部分，第一章介绍电影内容，发行背景。第二章选取电影中几个重要角色，讨论他们各自不同的命运，归宿以及他们对待生活的不同态度。第三章叙述电影开场与结束时出现的两大比喻事物：羽毛和巧克力，阐述作品的主题思想：对待生活是无需太多的聪明，心态是关键，少抱怨，多进取才不失为一种大智慧。第四章论述阿甘实现美国梦想的过程以及其不断坚持的努力并同时又报以平静的态度的原因。第五章结束语，概述汉克斯的经典银幕形象，和他所代言的典型当代美式英雄主义精神：乐观，执着，勇敢，坚持不动摇的信念。

Abstract

The thesis takes the film “Forrest Gump” as subject, analysing the different fates of those personages and the main thoughts expressed the movie. It is marked by four major sections, the first chapters introduce film content and issue background. The second chapter choose important roles during the movie scene and discuss their different destiny, final return and their different attitude towards life.The third part focus on the important symbols showed at both the beginning and the ending: the feather and chocolate, so as to set forth the theme of the literary work: cleverness dosen’t play a major role in human life, but the state of mind is the key. Stop complaining so much, the greatest wisdom asks for enough efforts. The fourth chapters describes how Gump realized Americcan dream and the reason of his success relies on his great endavour and being able to keep calm at the same time. The fifth chapter is concluding remark , summaring the classics figure created by Hanks, as well as his American heroic spirit: optimistic, inflexible, brave, and never give up his belief.

1  Introduction
Saying that you haven’t heared of Gump, there’s nothing much you kown about America’s film cultrue. American life at the end of 20th century had once been devided into three majoy representatives: Cocacola, Star War series and perhaps Gump Forrrest.
Born in the Town Alabama, south America after WorldWar2, Forrest Gump had innate retardness with an intelligence quality only 75. His mother, however, was a resolute lady. She always tell Gump to do as stupid does, taught him never give up.
He went to school just as other normal kids did. There, he met his first beloved girl Jenny. With Jenny and mother’s love, he began his great long expedition.
He had become a football professor, a war hero, an athlete, an entrepreneur…
Forrest Gump had successfully set up an idol. But his friends all have their different life disaster to cope with.
