摘 要
随着全球化浪潮的推进,中国的电视节目形式纷纷向世界其他国家进行借鉴和仿效,受众越来越强烈地感受到了新颖节目所带来的冲击。正是在这样一个大的语境下,尤其是在2005年成功举办“超级女声”之后,全国各地电视台都推出了类似的选秀节目,包括中央电视台的“梦想中国”、东方卫视的“我型我秀”、江苏卫视的“绝对唱响”等。然而,中国的众多选秀节目中,举办的最为成功的要数效仿“美国偶像”的“快乐女声”。“快乐女声”不仅吸引了国内成千上万青少年的关注与追崇,而且还为主办方、赞助商等带来了巨大的经济效益。但同是选秀节目,“美国偶像”却独树一帜,长盛不衰,地位不可撼动。
本文以“快乐女生”“美国偶像”为例,探讨中美选秀文化的差异。本文首先介绍选秀节目及其文化;其次对比“快乐女生”与“美国偶像”的差异,包括规则、评委、经济效益等方面;然后通过这些对比,为中国选秀节目的未来发展提出建议。

ABSTRACT
With the advance of globalization, China’s TV programs have learnt from and followed those of other countries, and the audience has been increasingly feeling the impacts of novel programs. Just under such circumstance, especially after the success of 2005 Super Girl Voice, similar talent shows came out almost every local station all over the country, including Dream of China (CCTV), My Show (Dragon TV) and Absolutely Sing a Bang (JSBC), etc. However, among so many Chinese talent shows, the most successful one is Happy Girl Voice, which followed the format of American Idol. Happy Girl Voice not only has attracted thousands of young people’s attention and adoration, but has brought enormous economic benefits to Hunan TV station and sponsors and so on. Although also as a talent show, American Idol holds its own unique style and leading status.
This thesis takes American Idol and Happy Girl Voice as examples, in order to discuss the differences of the culture of talent shows between U.S. and China. It first introduces talent shows and their culture; then contrasts the differences between American Idol and Happy Girl Voice, including their rules, judges and economic benefit, etc. After that, based on the contrast above, it gives suggestions to the development of Chinese talent shows.

1 Introduction
Nowadays, almost every TV station holds its own talent show both in home and abroad. Talent shows have changed some people’s views and lives, and have made great fortune both for TV stations and companies related to. Thus, it’s worthwhile to research on talent shows and the culture.
