摘要

高速发展的科技和经济推动着整个人类社会的发展。这种社会发展的新形势自然而然地把商务英语推向了为商务活动掌舵的重要位置，成为世界各国人民在交流科技和经济发展中思想，进行学术交流活动和推广研究成果的重要纽带。在这样的经济大环境的前提下，商务活动的日益频繁与规范，对商务英语的正确合理的使用的要求也变得越来越高。而在商务英语的学习以及外贸英语的应用当中，我们发现有一些使用十分频繁的词汇以及句式常常被误用，这些误用对商务活动的正常顺利进行造成了障碍，这些因素确定了对商务英语区别于普通英语的研究有待更细致更深层次的挖掘。
本论文旨在探求商务英语在词汇、句式以及文体风格上的特点，商务英语于普通英语之间的差异以及其区别于商务英语的必要性，或者说是商务英语的特殊性的重要性。通过大量的书籍阅读与案例分析，以及对实例的调查比对总结来阐述商务英语的诸多在词汇，句式以及文体篇章结构的特点，从而使对商务英语特点及与普通英语的区别的认识得到必要总结与适当的补充，也为商务英语在今后得到更好的应用。

Abstract

The booming economy and technology have prompted the development of society. This social situation naturally has built Business English a very crucial position which is the helm of the business activities as well as an important link for people from all over the world to exchange the ideas of scientific and economic development, communicate their academic thought and promote the research results. Under these circumstances that the business activities are getting more and more frequent and normal, the voice for applying it properly and reasonably is increasingly louder. However, we have found some quite frequently-used words and sentences misused during the study of Business English and the application of Foreign Trade English. And this misusing has formed a barrier for doing the business activities smoothly. Due to all the matters mentioned above, the research of the differences between General English and Business English is about to dig more deeply.
This thesis aims at exploring the features of Business English at words, sentences and style as well as the differences between General English and Business English and the necessity of the existence of these differences, or we say, the importance of the specialty of Business English. And it will be explained through massive reading, case study and contrast. It will be a conclusion as well as a supplement for the nowadays understanding on Business English.
