Abstract
With the development of economic globalization, Chinese enterprises get more chances to trade and communicate with western enterprises. Different forms and levels of negotiations and communication in import and export businesses are playing a more important role in enterprise's economic activities. However, the differences between Chinese and western thinking ways often cause some difficulties in the communication between the two sides, lead to the failure of negotiation and businesses cooperation, and produce a series of problems. So, how to avoid and solve these problems? We need to deeply study the differences between Chinese and western thinking ways, and only on this foundation can we put forward the countermeasures.
This thesis employs cross-cultural communication theory and different thinking ways theory as theoretical foundation, and with theory analysis, content analysis and predecessors’ research, focus on the study of how Chinese and western thinking ways influence on international business communication, and put forward the feasible solutions. It first expounds the background of international business communication, and then through the study of related theory and content to illustrate how important of studying the different Chinese and western thinking ways is to international business communication. Then it studies the impact that Chinese and western thinking ways bring to international business communication, and on the basis of that, finally put forward my suggestions, strategies and solutions to the problems that Chinese enterprises may encounter in international business communication.
With detailed theory analysis, content analysis and predecessors’ research, this thesis aims to explore the main differences in thinking ways between China and the west, and provide more practical countermeasures and solutions for Chinese enterprises in international business communication, what’s more, provide ideas for afterward researchers.
