Abstract:

In response to the surging role that China plays in the international arena, Chinese media are drawing more and more global attention. China’s news English emerges with its unique Chinese characteristics. This paper takes China Daily as an example, a frontier and representative medium to study such phenomena on the theoretical basis of language socialization. From the perspective of language and society, this paper tries to analyze the characteristics and illustrate the generation of China’s news English and investigate the native speakers’ reception of such foreignized English, It is hoped that this study may add theoretical and systematic knowledge to China’s news English, further disseminating Chinese traditional culture as well as Chinese way of thinking, and thus help to prepare for the internationalization of the Chinese media.

摘要：

随着中国大国地位的崛起，中国媒体受到更为广泛的关注。中国新闻英语带着中国特色应运而生。本文以前沿化代表性媒体《中国日报》为例，在语言社会化的理论基础上研究了中国新闻英语中的中国特色现象。本文还从语言与社会的角度分析中国新闻英语的语言特色，阐释它的产生。笔者希望本文的研究能够给中国新闻英语增进理论化和系统化的知识，进一步传播中华文化，也推动中国媒体的国际化进程。

1. Introduction
1.1 A brief Introduction to China's English News
News language shares the characteristics of accuracy, clearness, popularity and vividness. The expression of news language should be based on the fact and cannot be published by false information or exaggeration. The content of the report must be brief enough to be understood, not allowed to cause any ambiguity. The topic of news lies in the appeal of its audiences. If information provided has nothing to do with their interests or daily life, there would not have any chance of covering people from all walks of life. It is also very necessary that news language is interesting and impressive. Influenced by the local culture and thinking mode in China, China's News English ( “CNE” will be used for short hereinafter) is full of oriental characteristics.
