Abstract
United States, a typical immigrant country, whose residents come from world-wide different places, possesses different cultures and races. With the formation of Global Village, United States is making its culture much more pluralistic than before. Procter & Gamble, short for P&G, as the representative of multinational company in United States., shows typical cultural diversity of American enterprises. The conception of cultural diversity in P&G is employed to make the management in giving the staffs values, enhancing competitiveness, enriching product chains and making things flexible.
The thesis starts from the research on the cultural diversity of P&G, analyzes its function in company management and explores the essence, to find out the origin and effect about American cultural diversity, which are extensive immigration resources, differences of immigration culture and diversity of religion. The thesis will point out the outstanding advantages of cultural diversity in P&G, which can be learnt for Chinese firms as establishing enterprise alliance, finding senior officers from local countries and work with native officers and increase product chains etc.

摘 要
美国,一个典型的移民国家,其公民由来自不同地区,不同文化,不同民族的人组成。随着地球村的形成,美国文化也正朝着多元性发展。宝洁公司(Procter & Gamble),简称P&G,作为美国跨国公司的代表,宝洁,典型的美国企业的文化多样性,其企业文化作为美国文化的一个代表,值得我们去探索。本文通过研究宝洁公司文化多样性,了解到美国文化多样性来自于其世界各地的移民,其公民信仰不同以及其本国文化的不同。
本文通过分析,得出宝洁公司利用文化多样性来进行企业管理,既增强了员工的价值观,又增强了企业核心竞争力,同时还丰富了企业产品链和增加了企业稳定性。本文拟通过对宝洁公司文化多样性的探讨,分析其在于公司管理上的应用,探索其本质,来挖掘美国文化多样性的成因,及产生的影响。探讨宝洁式的文化多样性的有利之处,以及其对我国企业的借鉴之处,比如成立企业联盟、聘用外籍经理人配合本国经理人进行多元化管理,扩充产品链等方法。
