摘 要
   
李安1954年10月23日出生于台湾屏东县，是一位享誉世界的著名华人电影导演。他有着中西方结合的文化背景，能够让他在好莱坞电影市场中创作出大量的有着中国传统文化特点的电影。《喜宴》是李安导演1993年拍摄的一部电影，这是一部关于传统伦理观念的通俗剧。这部电影展现了中美对于家庭和同性关系的不同认识。中美婚姻观念的差异性在这部影片中表现得淋漓尽致。随着经济的发展，中美间交流的日益频繁，跨国婚姻越来越普遍。但中美之间的文化分歧，也阻碍了人们交流与融合。因此，笔者以《喜宴》这部电影为视角，通过对比中美结婚目的，选择配偶的标准，婚礼的形式的不同来分析研究中美婚姻观的差异。基于对中美不同婚姻观的比较与研究，找出产生这种差异的原因和历史背景，诸如社会价值观，宗教信仰，生存环境，经济方式等等。通过本课题的研究，笔者希望中美人民能够增加对对方婚姻文化的了解，减少跨国婚姻中的冲突与矛盾。

ABSTRACT

Lee Ang, who was born on October 23, 1954 in Pingtung, Taiwan, is a world- renowned Chinese film director. With the combined Western and Chinese cultural background, he has created a lot of films with the characteristics of Chinese traditional culture in Hollywood. The movie The Wedding Banquet, directed by Ang Lee in 1993, is a family melodrama about family ethics. The film shows the different understanding about the family, sex and homosexuality between Chinese and American culture. The differences in the concepts of marriage between them are fully manifested in the movie. With the development of economy and the increasingly frequent exchanges between China and America, the transnational marriage is becoming increasingly popular. Therefore, contrasting views are analyzed about differences between China and America on the purpose of marriage, the standard of mate choice and the ceremony of the wedding from the perspective of the movie The Wedding Banquet. Based on above analysis, the reasons and historical backgrounds are found out such as the differences in social values, religion, living environment, economic way and so on. Through the study of this topic, a better understanding about these two countries’ marriage cultures will be achieved in order to reduce the conflict and contradiction in the translational marriage.
