Abstract

    In the course of the culture fusion and collision in the world, American and Chinese modern wedding show their cultural heritage and unique features. This paper analyzes the historical and cultural causes of the differences in aspects of wedding, such as, wedding forms, cultures, and customs, etc. And under the guidance of the theory of culture studies, this paper launches the elaboration about the historical evaluation of the American and Chinese modern wedding and the fusion of American and Chinese wedding culture under the globalization, and explores the cultural integration trends of the American and Chinese wedding. Through analyzing the differences between American and Chinese modern wedding, the author hopes to provide some help to the English learners in learning American and Chinese culture and to allow the readers to see the deeper cultural differences of American and Chinese wedding.
The paper falls into three parts. Firstly, the paper analyzes the similarities in the ceremony and the honeymoon between American and Chinese modern wedding. Then analyzes the differences between American and Chinese modern wedding by elaborating the dress, wedding procedure, and the tones of wedding. Finally, the author goes further to analyze the similarities and differences, and then expounds the causes of the historical and cultural roots of the similarities and differences between American and Chinese modern wedding.

摘  要

在世界文化交融与碰撞的过程中,中美现代婚礼各自传递着其特有的文化底蕴与特色。本文通过婚礼形式、风俗、文化等各个方面进行分析，揭示造成这些差异的深层次的历史文化根源；并在文化研究理论指导下，对中美婚礼的历史演变和当今全球化背景下中美婚礼文化的融合展开论述，探讨中美婚礼文化融合的趋势。笔者希望通过对中美现代婚礼差异的分析，为中美文化的英语学习者提供一定的帮助,让读者能够看见中美现代婚礼差异背后更深层次的中美文化差异。
本文分为三个部分。首先，本文分析了中美现代婚礼中婚礼仪式与婚礼后的蜜月旅行中中美现代婚礼的相同之处。紧接着通过婚礼仪式中的服饰、婚礼程序以及婚礼色调和婚礼仪式之后的蜜月对中美现代婚礼的不同之处进行分析。最后，作者对婚礼现象中的相同与不同之处进行深入分析，阐述了造成中美现代婚礼相同的以及不同之处的历史文化根源。
