摘要

语言具有社会交际功能，因此交际是学习语言的目的。大学生在英语会话中交际策略的使用则是培养其英语口语交际能力的重要组成部分， 即英语会话交际策略是英语口语能力的体现,而良好的交际策略又可以促进英语使用者更好地融入到各种英语交流中去。本文将从三个大方面进行研究，首先阐述交际策略的定义和分类，然后分析大学生在交际中对策略的使用情况，包括影响策略使用的因素，研究的方法及常用的几种策略，最后提出了有关提高大学生交际策略使用能力的建议。

Abstract
    Language is provided with the function of social communication, therefore, communication is the purpose of learning a language. College students' usage of communicative strategy plays an important role in cultivating their communicative competence of oral English in conversation, that is to say, the communicative strategy of English conversation is the embodiment of the ability of oral English, and good communicative strategy can make the English users integrate into the English communication better. This article will conduct the research from three main facets. Firstly, it states the definition and classification of communicative strategy. Second, it analyzes the usage condition of communicative strategy among college students, including the factors affecting the use of strategies, the research methods and several commonly used strategies. Finally, it puts forward relevant ways to improve the ability of using communicative strategy.

1  Introduction
English oral communication is an indispensable means of communication in modern society. It involves all facets of knowledge about grammar, vocabulary, semantics, discourse, pragmatics, communicative strategies and so on. Among them, communicative strategy is not understood and applied by a great number of English learners. Without knowing some communicative strategies well, a large part of English learners who have good English language quality still can not complete the task of oral communication effectively and successfully. What’s more, people regard the fluent English intercourse as an important symbol of mastering English. Because of the differences between Chinese and English, Chinese people will meet some temporary language difficulties in practical English communication, such as using inappropriate expression, meeting conversion disorder or speaking a slip of the tongue, etc. Therefore, in the process of learning and practicing oral English, it is necessary to master some communicative strategies, which will help us to make up for the interruption of communication and to improve the effect of communication. There is no doubt that English communicative strategy is a science, the strategy students use is differ from one another according to different situations.
