Abstract:
With the development of economy and technology, more and more people participate in business communication. Business negotiations have become increasingly frequent in international economic activities. Body language as a kind of pragmatic strategy of business communication plays an important role in international business negotiations. This article is composed of three parts. The first part introduces the definition of body language and the forms of body language. The second part mainly elaborates the functions of body language in business negotiation and the need for body language in business negotiation. The third part divides body language into three categories, i.e. facial expressions, limb actions and abdominal actions, and analyzes in detail the meanings and application of the three forms of body language. We can draw the conclusion from this article that if the negotiators want to get correct and useful information from the body language of their counterparts they should pay close attention to and be good at judging the veracity of the other party’s body language. Any body language can represent different meanings, so we need to connect it with the surrounding environment and the context in order to determine its exact meaning and gain more economic benefits in business negotiations.

随着经济技术的发展,越来越多的人们参与到商务交流中,商务谈判在国际经济活动中日益频繁,身体语言作为一种商务交际中的语用策略,在国际商务谈判中发挥着重要意义。而本文主要分为三个部分,第一个部分主要是讲解了身体语言的定义及其主要表现形式。第二个部分主要阐述了身体语言在商务谈判中的重要功能和意义。由此引出第三部分,就身体语言的表现形式着手,分别阐述了三类身体语言(面部表情、肢体动作、腹部动作)在商务语境中所表达的相关意义与在商务谈判中的运用。通过本文可以知道要从对方的身体语言中获取正确而有用的信息,不仅要观察入微,还要能善于判断对方身体语言的正确性,不要被对方所误导。任何身体语言所代表的含义,都需要跟周边的环境、前后的语境结合起来,才能判断其准确含义,从而在商务谈判中获取更多的经济利益。

Introduction
With the development of economy and technology, more and more people participate in business communication. Business negotiations have become increasingly frequent in international economic activities. Business negotiations are usually conducted through verbal language but body language as a kind of pragmatic strategy supplementary to verbal communication also plays a significance role in international business negotiations. Body language applied in international business negotiations consists of facial expressions, limb actions, and abdominal actions and so on. The proper use of body language can improve the skills of the negotiators, promote the efficiency and bring about the success of the negotiations.
