作为中英文化中的重要组成部分，君子文化和绅士文化分别对两国人民塑造价值观和人格起到了指向标的作用。随着频繁的国际交流和两国文化的相互渗透，英国绅士越来越为更多的中国人所熟知。同时，孔子学院在全世界不断建立，中国传统文化也随之传播，外国友人渐渐更加地了解中国。它们作为中英文化的独特元素，很有必要了解和认识。然而中国君子和英国绅士既有相同点，又有不同点。通过深入理解这两种中西文化的精神实质，将对英语和英语文化的学习和研究都将有所裨益。当然这两种文化也可以取长补短、相得益彰，随着时代的发展不断焕发出时代魅力。

Abstract:

British gentleman culture and Chinese “Junzi” culture, respectively representing an important part in British and Chinese culture, are the guides for British and Chinese to shape their values and personalities. With the frequent international communication and mutually cultural penetration between the two countries, British gentleman culture is known by more and more Chinese people. At the same time, Chinese traditional culture gradually spreads to the world along with the establishment of Confucius Institutes. Then foreigners get to know more about China. The two cultures, the unique elements in British and Chinese culture, are worth to know and understand. However, British gentleman culture and Chinese “Junzi” culture have both similarities and differences. Through deep understanding of the spirit in the two cultures, it is helpful to learn and study English and English culture. The two cultures can also complement each other. British gentleman culture and Chinese “Junzi” culture respectively represent an important part in British and Chinese culture. The formation and development of the two kinds of cultures have a profound influence on the culture, society and national characters of the two countries. With the progress of international exchanges and cultural penetration, British gentleman culture is familiar to Chinese, and vice verse. There are a lot of similarities between the two cultures, as well as many differences which can not be ignored. So it is meaningful to make a comparison. “Junzi” and gentleman are the models of Chinese and British ideal personality respectively. The essence of two kinds of personality theory fully expresses the noble part of human nature. They have strong vitality to support their own growth and development.
